We make every Perfect Vent out of the actual flooring. This Insures an exact match of color, thickness and texture. Perfect Vents are truly as beautiful as your floor.
We stock every color of some of the most popular brands across the Country. If you have a brand that we do not stock the process is still simple. We will provide a Pre-Paid FedEx label to ship us a few pieces of your flooring.
If you are providing the material for the vents, We need about 16" of the flooring for each vent required. We also ask for 1 extra piece just in case there were any issues in production. So if you needed 5 4"x10" vents, we would need you to send 6 pieces of flooring that are 16" long. If you are ordering a larger or custom vent more material may be required.
While it would be nearly impossible to have every brand offered across the Country, We are continuing to add new manufacturers to our stocking program. If you are a manufacturer and would like us to bring on your line of flooring please contact us.
If your new floor has not been installed yet, then you should measure the actual air duct that is cut into the subfloor. If your new flooring has already been installed, then in addition to the air duct hole size in the subfloor we also need to know what size opening the actual flooring has been cut to. This will insure we provide a large enough profile to get a proper fit.
Yes! Part of our Patented system is our air flow control. The vents are milled with a specific offset that allows for easy air flow control by simply spinning the vent 180 degrees.
Either. Installation was at the fore front of the design for Perfect Vents. With the use of the Perfect Vent Template, your flush mount vents can be installed during or after the original flooring install. Careful attention does need to be taken when measuring for the vents if the floor has already been installed. In addition to measuring the air duct size, a measurement also needs to be taken of the hole size cut into the flooring itself. If the installer was not aware flush mount vents were going to be installed the hole may be cut slightly larger than our standard profile. Not to worry though. We offer a Retro-Fit Profile just for situations like this.
Yes! The Perfect Vent Template allows you to install the vent with almost no risk of over cutting or mis cutting the hole size. The Template is made out of 1/4" Steel to insure the hole is the precise size of your Perfect Vent. The Solid steel also allows the installer to cut with a multi-tool saw without fear of over cutting into the corners.
No. The Perfect Vent Template is made of 1/4" Steel and can be used over and over again.
Not necessarily. This will depend on the size vents you are installing. In an effort to make our system as simple as possible, each of our templates can be used on multiple sizes of vents. For example, our Standard Template is used for 2x10, 2x12, 4x10, and 4x12 vents sizes. We make the outside profile of each of those sizes the exact same and simply change the size of the air holes.
Along with the Perfect Vent Template, a Multi-tool or Oscillating saw should be used. This tool allows for the best installation with the least amount of clean up.
Our Patented system allows for easy air duct cleaning! Simply remove the magnetic Perfect Vent cover, slide the support metal out of the way under the floating floor, clean the duct, slide the metal back and set the Perfect Vent cover back in place.
Each Perfect Vents includes a powder coated, laser cut, steel support plate. This adds exceptional strength and durability to each vent. Any of our regular size vents can be put into main traffic areas of the home. Care should be taken if chair or table legs will be on the vent. If a small heavy weight object like a chair leg were to be slid across the vent, damage could be done to the cover.
Once we have the material at our location, Production typically take 3-5 days. We strive to have every color of our stocking brands on hand to speed the process along as much as possible. If we were out of stock of a particular color then it typically takes 7-10 business days to receive new material barring a production date from the manufacturer. If you are shipping material to us, once we receive it, the vents will be produced in 3-5 business days and shipped back out.
The outside profile of both vents are the same but the number of air holes is different. This makes it so our Standard Template can be used to cut both openings.
The Perfect Vent Support Metal is universal in size. The same metal support is used for multiple sizes. We change the size of the holes in the vent cover only depending on the vent that is being ordered.
Perfect Vents are proudly produced in Michigan. The Perfect Vent support metals, Templates, and all coatings are also sourced from other local Michigan companies.
Yes we do. We can produce almost any size cover but are limited in the support metals. Due to the thickness that we need to make the support metal to stay within manufacturer specs, the widest opening our vents can span is 7.5". With our expandable support metals though, the vent can be as long as required. Please contact us for questions regarding our custom vents sizes.
Perfect Vents are only available through one of our retail flooring partners. We do not sell direct to the public. If your local flooring store is not a dealer, they can get set up with out a problem or you can use our dealer locator to contact another dealer. If you are still have trouble contacting a dealer, let us know we can supply a list of dealers who will ship anywhere in the country.
Perfect Vents are designed to work with any floating floor system. While we specialize in luxury vinyl, we can also make vents out of Laminate, Cork, or Floating engineered wood.
We can produce vents for other types of flooring but there are some limitations. Please contact us for more details.
Most of our Vents are shipped via FedEx and will arrive in one of our bright green boxes.
